When this metadiscourse resorts explicitly to one or another Grand narrative, such as the dialectics of spirit, hermeneutics of sense, emancipation of a reasonable person or a worker, the increase of wealth, etc., - the science which relates to him, in order to semilegitimate decide to call "modern."
