slightly bowed over her, though her eyes, of course, looking forward
there where already watching the artist and the Princess. Finally, two groups of two
characters: one away and the other consisting of dwarfs, -- really
the foreground. In each pair one of the characters looking right before
myself and the other -- right or left. Due to its location and size
these two groups correspond to each other and form a doublet: rear
located court (located on the left side, facing to the right), in front of
- the dwarfs (the boy standing sideways at the right edge, looks inside the picture).
All these people placed in a similar manner and can depending on
areas of attention drawn to the picture, or from a selected point
starting to form two figures. One of them is a big letter X: top
left point-the eye of the artist, and the right-eye of the court, at the bottom left
point coincides with the corner of the canvas shown its reverse side
(more precisely-with the support of the easel), and the right-with the dwarf (his foot in
the Shoe on the back of the dog). At the intersection of these lines, in the center of the X-eyes
Infanta. Another figure -- rather wide arc: its two edges -- remote and
high ends -- defined by the artist on the left and the right
court, and its binding, are much more similar to the first plan, coincides with
the Princess ' face and looking at it through the eyes of the duenna. This flexible line
draws a kind of shell enclosing and releasing in the middle
picture the location of the mirror.
