If the researcher is building a new hypothetical communication system of facts, the historian or investigator try to reproduce the existing system of interpreted facts. The question in this case is about the understanding and restoration of the essence of the so-called primary facts. In other words, you must restore the causality of the phenomena that gave rise to the existing fact (system facts) in order to determine the nature of the fact, its content and place in the past and present facts.
Scientist, looking to the future, builds a hypothetical system of interrelated facts. The historian or investigator, as indeed each of us, if necessary, trying to replicate the already existing chain of interconversion of the essential fact that in order to understand its nature and to determine its place in the system of interrelation of facts.
