More recently, sociologists believed that the open and closed forms of question only complementary that information obtained through one or another form, if not identical, then at least don't contradict each other. If contradictions in the answers to these questions are available, they are caused by inadequate representation of the sociologist about the subject studied, which can correct the study in the open form of the question. No one was in doubt that the information obtained in open and closed forms of question reflects the same objective reality, though it may be, with varying degrees of accuracy, reliability, etc.

Mainly it concerns the following: "If You quit, why?" or "Your suggestion to improve the work of the enterprise" in various versions. Here is an example of a survey conducted at the mine to them. V. I. Lenin (Mezhdurechensk, the Kemerovo region).
To the question: "If You're going to quit, why?" in both open and closed questions the following data were obtained. (The interest calculation was made of the total number of respondents).
