Well! If the motto "art for the people" is understood in the sense that I
just asked him to understand, I have nothing against him. But when
this slogan applies in reality, it is in connection with claims
those who, speaking on behalf of human society, want to erect
needs or ideals of their society to the rank of rules of creativity rules
which acts in the process of producing artworks. Taken
this sense, the motto "art for the people" implicitly ignores the world
of art as such, values of the creative intellect, the fact that the artist
there is an artist.
It is true that, ultimately, art serves the greater good of human
companies - in some profound and mysterious sense, which I will try
to outline at the end of this Chapter. But the error is in this case that
this truth they misunderstand, misused, and eventually come to the conclusion,
what moral or social value of the work must enter into the
the field of creativity, as its Supreme regulator.
It is useful to extend the analysis a little further. I
said that all human intention and every human goal, what are
they were to inspire the artist, provided that the movement of his
art work will not go astray and that his art will be
strong enough in its own sphere to protect their autonomy.
How is that possible? The autonomy of art may remain in such
the conditions are inviolable?
