I'm never late for work......... Yes no
Presented in various sections of the questionnaire these judgments perceived by the respondents as independent, not linked by a single question. No possibility for a logical choice, respondents often perceive them as comparable - delays are and respond positively on the first and second alternatives (in the test questionnaire - judgment). This is especially true of alternatives with more subtle concepts of volume. When responses to the judgment test of the questionnaire, the Respondent usually forgets where and how he responded, what alternative is chosen, and answers the following alternative as completely independent. Do not say how much it distorts the results of the survey.
To overcome these shortcomings in a test application, which you must use alternatives from a strictly separable concepts, as, for example, in dichotomous questions with alternatives of "Yes" or "no". It is impossible to include alternatives with intermediate concepts. So, in the above example should be limited to only two alternatives "there are delays" and "delay does not happen" by deleting the third "delays are rare." Only in this case it is possible to achieve a clear separation of the conceptual content of the judgment test of the questionnaire responses. The test application can be used only as one of the possible methods (tools) the withdrawal of the sociological information. Given its advantages and disadvantages, you can apply it for solving various specific problems of sociological research. However, it is possible to combine the traditional and test the questionnaire, using the advantages of the other. But in each case, in each particular study, the sociologist should choose an appropriate to the tasks and objectives of the study methodology.
In principle, both traditional and test questionnaires represent only one of the possible methods (tools) for removal of social information. There may be many, and they are very varied in form and content. To increase the number of methods and tools, of course, not an end in itself. Each technique is designed to solve specific tasks, but given that these tasks quite a lot and some of them require special tools, you can understand the need for invention of new research methods.
