In addition, there is another method of the study the General physiological
truths, - a method which physiology has obliged a bright idea, but
which is currently not recognized as a formal method. We're talking about
comparison of physiological phenomena with social phenomena.
The analogy between individual organisms and the social organism is
one of those who from ancient times have drawn attention to themselves
observer. And although the latest science does not sympathize with the rude notions of
this analogy, which is sometimes expressed since the Greeks, but it
more and more seeks to show that the analogy is very
wonderful. While it is clear that there is no such special
concurrency between the component parts of man and those of the nation which
took before, it becomes equally clear that the General grounds of the development
and devices found in all organized bodies are manifested in
societies. The main property of societies and of living beings is that
they consist of interdependent parts; and it would seem that this property
encompasses the community of various other characteristic properties. Large
some people who are familiar with the facts of physiology and sociology, is beginning to recognize
this correspondence is not only likely, but also scientifically true. And we personally
firmly hold the opinion that it gradually will be made in such
the sizes that are currently allowed would be very few.
