The questionnaire often is not reached in the printing, and is printed on the machine and xerocopies. It's cheaper, faster, but in this case, the graphical capabilities are limited. Therefore, the location of the questions on the page, spacing between lines, questions, and alternatives play a big role. However, with the use of computer graphics capabilities greatly enhanced.
There are various ways of arranging issues and alternatives, layout of the questionnaire. All this is determined by the researcher. But we should remember that the main layout is a clear visual separation of all components of the issues and alternatives and questionnaires overall, taking into account their perception and understanding by the Respondent.
And finally, we note the inadmissibility of rupture of alternatives, i.e., transferring part of the answers from one page to another. Unfortunately, it often happens that in order to save space part of the alternatives left on one page and the other is transferred to the next page of the questionnaire. This can not be done for the simple reason that moved half of the alternatives, as a rule, not involved. Experiments show that in this case the majority of answers concentrated in the first part of the set of alternatives. Reading the question and proposed answers, the Respondent thinks that it is a whole set of alternatives and chooses an answer among them. Turning the page and seeing the other response options, the Respondent usually does not return to the new selection and moves immediately to the next question. If the issue is with the set of alternatives does not fit on the remaining part of the page, it is better to leave it blank and move the question to the next page.
