The way of being human, which was established in modern
thinking, allows it to fulfill two roles: he is both
is the justification of all positively and however
present at a member position in the element of empirical things.
This fact -- we are talking here not about human nature at all, but
just about the historical a priori, which from the beginning of XIX century
the obvious way is the basis of our thoughts, -- this fact
is undoubtedly crucial to determine the status of
"Humanities", this body of knowledge (perhaps this is too
a strong word; let's say, for greater neutrality of this speech
ensemble), the object of which is man and all that is in it
there is empirical.
First of all, we have to admit that the humanitarian
science inherited region is not only defined and not
measured through, but, on the contrary, completely untouched,
they had yet to develop through scientific
concepts and positive methods. Under the name of the person or
the human nature of the eighteenth century gave them some outlines
from the outside, but still empty inside, the space they
had to embrace and explore. In fact,
epistemological field that cover the Humanities,
not given to them in advance: no philosophy, no opinion
political or ethical nature that no already
the existing empirical Sciences, no supervision
the human body, no exploration of feelings, imagination
or passions, neither in the seventeenth nor in the eighteenth century never faced
the subject of man, since man did not exist
(as there was no life, language and labour).
