Here we might show how the General truth, that every acting
a force produces more than one change, is exemplified in the highest
degree rough sea tides, ocean currents, winds,
the distribution of precipitation, distribution of heat, etc. But not stopping
them, consider, for a complete explanation of this truth in relation to
the inorganic world, what would be the consequences of some extensive
space coup, say, at least the flooding of Central America.
The immediate results of the destruction would be enough in themselves
complex. In addition to countless mutilations layers, eruptions of fiery substances
besides the distribution of earthquakes and vibrations thousands of miles around, except for
loud explosions and the release of gases, - two oceans, Atlantic and Pacific,
rushed to fill the empty space, there would be a collision
huge waves that would pass through both of the ocean, producing a myriad
of changes along their shores; the corresponding atmospheric waves
would be complicated air currents surrounding any volcanic stream,
and electric rarefactions accompanying these upheavals. But these
temporary actions would be insignificant compared to the permanent. Complex
the currents of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans would have changed the direction and
size. The distribution of heat caused by these sea currents
would be different than now. The provisions of the isothermal lines would change
not only on neighbouring continents, but also across Europe. The tides
would have taken a different direction than now. There would be more or
there is little variation in the periods, power, direction and properties of the winds. Rain
hardly would go and then in the same places and in the same amount as now.
In short, on all sides, a thousand miles around, weather conditions
would be more or less outraged. Thus, ignoring
infinity changes produced by these changes in the climate on the flora and
fauna, earth and sea, the reader will see a huge diversity
the results generated by the same force, when this force
apply to a surface pre-sophisticated - and easy
will conclude that the complication is from the beginning constantly
