Issues in pictures. The most capacious channel of transmitting and receiving information is fine. If you want to quickly, fully and impressively to convey information to the person, it is best to present it in visual form. The child pokes a finger in the book and asks: "who is This?" - "Giraffe"I say to him. And he will not confuse it with other animals. In the illustrated magazine at the turn photo: little cute girl with bows inserts a flower into the barrel of the machine soldier. And through this one photograph, we perceive so much information, so the charge of the emotional impact, what if all this is to present words that would not be enough and thousands of pages.
You've probably noticed, as in the discussion of any matter is drawn "hand to pen, pen to paper" to illustrate his point, to make it more understandable to the interlocutor. Clarity - the universal language at all times and for all peoples.
Why not use this technique in sociological questionnaire when building an issue?
We show the Respondent a picture, which is depicted as the husband, bickering with his wife, in the heat of anger waving her arms in the shape of a spiral rises to the ceiling. Under the picture the question: "do the husband comes home "wound up"?" Comic picture carries the necessary information. And, obviously, none of the Respondent will not have doubts about the understanding of the word and condition of "wound up".
Unfortunately, in domestic practice of sociological research are almost not use the method of visual presentation. Apparently, there are my reasons. In order to fulfill the plan, you need a good artist and a good printing base. If we apply the method of presentation, then this should be done on a high artistic level. Not every sociological laboratory can afford such expensive. Another reason is that aspiring sociologists do not always imagine a meaningful value and functions of picture in the sociological survey.
These functions can be divided into four.
