The requirement is transferred to the consciousness of some of its channels, and the desired area of consciousness which "interprets" this need and translates it into the category of the task, i.e. to the category of necessity and find a solution. This is essentially the second stage of expression of needs. There is a third stage - the search for a solution, i.e. the construction of the concept of how to solve a problem, satisfy a need, but more on that a little further.

Understanding the need is important because she need included in the chain interconversion. So, the need to satisfy hunger is closely associated with many physiological and social factors. Hence, it is important to understand that in the first place in the number of urgent and not so urgent needs to be addressed. If you do not meet the demand on time, for example, to eat, everything could end very sad. It is therefore urgent to eat can be a challenge. This, in particular, is the focus of the consciousness. The process and result of understanding the requirements and received various names, has its specific connotation: "task", "task", "problem", "question", etc.

The realization of the tasks has its own complex mechanism that contains the objects etc. But in this case we are not particularly interested in the process of education needs, also we are not interested in how the appearance of the task. We are not interested in this work, the transition of the unconscious, i.e. outside of consciousness, the need for a conscious task, move it to the part or region of the object, which deals with understanding the needs and finding its solution. In the scientific literature, the process of finding the solution of the problem is called thinking. The last is a special area in consciousness (mind, mind, mind, etc.), which deals with the elaboration of conceptual knowledge to meet the need.

Consciousness has a complex structure, practically not known and not understood. But clearly, in order for that to work out a solution, you need to have at least some knowledge, and better good knowledge. And you need to be conscious of the so-called knowledge base or a database, in computer language, and system of database management. The database or knowledge contains two components and organically influencing each other part: General rules and laws that formed and functioning in the new knowledge - the solution of the problem; and actually the subject area of consciousness in which the problem is solved. According to I. Kant, the first is essentially a priori knowledge, or so-called innate program and the second is empirical knowledge, i.e. knowledge based on innate programs, but received its development (or rather deployment, the awakening), on the basis of direct experience.

Consciousness to solve the problem, ie find ways (directions, options, shapes), its solutions need addresses in its database and it is there out possible solutions. Else there is no consciousness. If we are talking about what we need to eat, the mind seeks above all in its database of knowledge, what are my options to find food and satisfy your hunger. There are always a few and they are typical, i.e., tested and good working and therefore will be accepted by the mind as true. If the solution is not tested, it is not included in the knowledge base. Consciousness chooses the optimal from her point of view and at this point, path, or solution.

Selected conscious way (option, method, direction etc.) can be a solution to the problem, is a complete conceptual education. But only a possibility. The efficiency of the chosen path is determined by the presence of dominants, i.e. any restrictions that exist at the moment, the duration of the solution time and location in space, the required cost of funds, etc. The main requirement would be in the presence of a known means of forces that are always limited, to solve the problem in less time than the time allotted for other vital tasks.
