Before proceeding to the main issue, I have to understand some other opinions which are of personal nature and placed below on the same page. The Duke says: "More than doubtful whether it is possible to give any value a new factor with which he (ie me) thinks Supplement it (natural selection)", and he considers it "inconceivable" that I "could lift such a big fuss over such trivia as the effect of the use of or disuse of certain organs as a separate and re-open factor in the development of changes." I'm not suggesting that Duke Angelski intended to kill a nasty accusation that I announce the news that all more or less familiar with the facts is anything but not the news. And yet, there is no doubt that his words have such that is the point. I can't understand how he could write such a thing, contrary the vast acquaintance with the subject, which he certainly shows, and despite proof to the contrary contained in them criticized articles.
